The collection is primarily labrids (but includes a variety of other families from the tropical Pacific and Atlantic, including Baja, Hawaii, Palau, Cook Islands, Tahiti, Bali (Indonesia), Panama, and Noronha. In addition, there is an extensive collection of late-stage larvae of the Caribbean as well as some eastern Pacific and Polynesian collections.
